I am sure most of us have faced rejections during interviews due to variety of causes. I am trying to compile possible causes of failure & success at Interviews.
Considering the Qualification & relevant experience & job knowledge are equal between two candidates. My list of rejection would be as follows (Please do contribute your ideas.)
Causes for Rejection / Failure at Interviews
1. Poor Resume structure
2. Poor Communication skills (Specially English communication)
3. Lack of confidence
4. Lack of Etiquettes
5. Lack of Energy Levels
6. Poor Body language (E.g. Poor eye contact, sloppy posture)
7. Poor Personality / Grooming
8. Attitude towards career & career planning
9. Clarity of goals in personal & work life
10. Showing lack of Ambition / Initiative
11. Maturity levels
12. Lack of ability to think on feet
Most of the points mentioned above can be corrected through proper coaching. What do you think? Any other i have forgotten, feel free to contribute so that we better ourselves.
